The Wyoming Tennis Association, also known as WYOTA, is an organizational district (USTA WY) of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Our mission is “to promote and develop the growth of tennis in Wyoming.” We are made up of a volunteer Board of Directors of residents from around the state of Wyoming who love the game of tennis. Through our many committees and chairs, we coordinate efforts throughout the state, creating a smooth running statewide tennis community.
USTA Wyoming Executive Director, Mario Ibarra, was born in Powell, Wyoming. His immediate family includes his wife, Troy, and three sons, Jordan, Ryne, and Tanner. He attended junior college in Powell and then went on to the University of Wyoming where he majored in Outdoor Parks and Recreation Administration. After college, Mario got into the health club business, managing and owning his own health club in Laramie. When he decided to leave the health club industry, he secured a job with WyoTech where he worked in student programming for 26 years until June of 2015. He has been with USTA Wyoming as Executive Director since January, 2016.
